In partnership with the City of St. Albert and Telus, St-AlbertCAP.com will be pleased to provide community groups with access to BookIt!, an online registration and payment software program for courses, classes, events, or even drop-in activities.
The Community Access Program (CAP) is a Government of Canada initiative, administered by Industry Canada. CAP provides Canadians with affordable public access to the Internet and the skills they need to use it effectively. Under CAP, public locations like the St. Albert Public Library or the St. Albert Youth Community Centre act as “Host Sites” to public computer resources. CAP's goal is to join together organizations and citizens in an online network, enabling them to pool resources and better serve their communities.
The Community Access Program's (CAP) Youth Initiative (YI) program is funded by Industry Canada and Human Resources Development Canada's Youth Employment Strategy. Alberta's CAP YI is implemented through a partnership with the Community Futures Network Society of Alberta. CAP YI provides employment opportunities for youth ages 15-30. Participants will work for Alberta CAP Sites to assist community members and organizations with computer services and courses.
The Wild Rose Foundation is a lottery funded agency created by the Government of Alberta and administered through Community Development.
The Foundation provides funding to volunteer, non-profit organization that promote volunteerism and community minded projects.
The City of St. Albert is responsible for providing St. Albert citizens with good government and order. The City administers a number of community services including Economic Development & Tourism, Cultural Services, Recreation Services, and Family & Community Support Services. The City will be offering BookIt! an online registration and payment program in conjunction with St-AlbertCAP.com
